I've been happily using msmtp for a while now. I have a couple of
profiles and switch between them as needed. Basically, I have two
outbound SMTP servers, my home one and my work one. In the past,
simply switching between them on a message-by-message basis has always
been sufficient.
But I've changed jobs and, near as I can tell, the new work mail
server absolutely will not relay mail. (Or maybe it would if you
talked to it with the MS Exchange protocol, I dunno and I don't want
to run an Exchange-based mail tool.)
The obvious thing to do is send mail through the work server for mail
to anybody@...151... and send mail through my home sever for
anybody@...152...
Except what happens when I send mail,
To: user@...151..., mailinglist@...151..., client@...153...
Can msmtp be configured to "split" that for me, using one host for the
work addresses and one for the non-work addresses?
Be seeing you,
norm
