[msmtp-users] TLS timeout on some messages -> lost mail

Hello. Sometimes msmtp logs the following:

Nov 15 17:37:02 host=smtp.gmail.com tls=on auth=on user=redondos@...67....20... from=redondos@...20... recipients=whoever@...62... errormsg='cannot read from TLS connection: the +operation timed out' exitcode=EX_IOERR

and, of course, the recipient never gets the message.

This happens sporadically, once every 3 days or so.

Is there a way of making msmtp retry sending messages that failed?

redondos@...63... ~ $ msmtp --version
msmtp version 1.4.7
TLS/SSL library: GnuTLS
Authentication library: GNU SASL
Supported authentication methods:
plain cram-md5 digest-md5 gssapi external login
IDN support: enabled
NLS: enabled, LOCALEDIR is /usr/share/locale
System configuration file name: /etc/msmtprc

Thank you.

Cheers,
