<title>CamSim is superseded by WurblPT</title>

<p>
CamSim is superseded by <a href="https://marlam.de/wurblpt/">WurblPT</a>.<br>
CamSim is based on the rasterization approach of image rendering. While this
makes it very fast, it also imposes severe limitations on the simulation of effects relevant
to Time-of-Flight imaging.<br>
<a href="https://marlam.de/wurblpt/">WurblPT</a> is a full-featured path tracer instead
and does not suffer from these limitations. Simulation quality is much better, at the
price of higher computational costs. Furthermore, the code of WurblPT is much simpler and
easier to read and adapt since it does not need to accomodate the OpenGL graphics pipeline.
